High-Performance UV LED Modules for Photocatalytic Applications

Photocatalysis is a light-activated process that accelerates chemical reactions by energizing a catalyst—commonly titanium dioxide (TiO₂)—without consuming it. When irradiated with ultraviolet light, TiO₂ generates highly reactive radicals that can oxidize and decompose organic and inorganic compounds. This mechanism is used in air and water purification, odor elimination, self-cleaning coatings, and antibacterial surface treatments. With our high-performance UVA LED modules, developed and manufactured in Germany, we deliver cutting-edge solutions tailored for the exacting requirements of UV Photocatalysis.

Lighting for higher reaction efficiency and  effective photocatalytic activation.

At Lumistrips, we combine over 20 years of LED expertise with Nichia’s leadership in UV LED manufacturing to produce high-output UVA LED modules that deliver the radiant power, reliability, and spectral precision required for effective photocatalytic activation. Manufactured in Germany, our modules use Nichia’s latest UV series LEDs, available in wavelengths from 330 nm to 405 nm, with radiant flux values up to 5 W per emitter.

Each module is built on thermally optimized aluminum PCBs for stable long-term performance and can be customized in size, optical layout, and driving current to match system requirements. These modules enable photocatalytic systems that decompose volatile organic compounds (VOCs), destroy bacteria and viruses in air and water, and maintain self-cleaning and odor-free surfaces—all without chemicals or mercury.

By integrating Nichia’s most advanced UVA emitters with our precision engineering and German manufacturing quality, we provide light sources that ensure consistent activation of photocatalysts, high energy efficiency, and long service life. Whether used in air purifiers, water treatment reactors, surface coatings, or industrial exhaust treatment, Lumistrips UVA LED modules offer the reliability and performance demanded by next-generation environmental purification systems.
