Nichia UV-A LED Modules
The Nichia UV Series represents the pinnacle of ultraviolet LED technology, offering the highest output UV LEDs with long lifespans and high efficiency. Ultraviolet LEDs are known for their complexity due to the high energy of UV radiation, which can make reliability a challenge. However, Nichia overcomes this by maintaining integrated management throughout the entire production process—from wafer manufacturing to product shipment—ensuring unparalleled reliability in their UV LEDs. We manufacture in Germany aluminum PCB modules with the latest Nichia UV-A LEDs, facilitating easy integration into medical, commercial or industrial applications.

UV Light
Ultraviolet (UV) light is a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light, typically ranging from 100 to 400 nanometers. Although invisible to the human eye, UV light plays a vital role in various fields including medicine, disinfection, industry, and scientific research. Modern UV LEDs have replaced traditional mercury-based UV lamps in many applications, offering benefits such as energy efficiency, compact design, instant operation, and mercury-free, environmentally friendly performance. The UV spectrum is divided into three main types: UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C, each with distinct properties and uses.
UV-A – For Industry
UV-A light has the longest wavelength in the UV spectrum, typically between 315 and 400 nm, and is the least energetic. It is commonly used in applications such as UV curing, inspection, counterfeit detection, and certain medical treatments. UV-A can cause fluorescent substances to glow, making it essential for quality control and forensic analysis. While it penetrates deeper into materials and skin than other UV types, it is also safer for human exposure compared to UV-B and UV-C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial uses.
High-performance UV-A
Nichia UVA LEDs deliver high-performance ultraviolet light in the 315–405 nm range, making them ideal for industrial, scientific, and commercial applications. With decades of proven reliability, Nichia’s UVA LEDs are widely used in UV curing, optical inspection, forensic analysis, and counterfeit detection, where precision and stability are critical. Their compact size, high radiant intensity, and long lifespan make them easy to integrate into equipment and systems. As mercury-free and energy-efficient solutions, Nichia UVA LEDs offer a safe, sustainable alternative to traditional UV sources—providing consistent performance even in demanding environments.
